Gas and Electric prices increasing

Electricity prices have increased over the years. They have increased to an amount that some people can not afford to heat or cool their homes any longer. Recently, they have released that over the course of the next year we likely see a increase on our electric prices of 11% at least.

Gas prices are doing the opposite as Electric. They are going down. Crude oil prices are decreasing so it becoming more affordable to heat one’s home using gas heaters. This week alone, according to CNN, we paid 5 cents less for our oil this week. This will affect our gas prices not only for our gas in our cars but also in the homes.

It seems one could come to the conclusion that it is becoming much cheaper to use gas heaters than it is electric. Electric prices are increasing while gas in decreasing. They estimate we will be increasing our electric bills by eleven percent over the next year. They also estimate, we will decrease our gas prices by ten to twelve percent as well. It is possible it may balance out in the end between them both(if your home both gas and electric) but for those electric only homes this is not good news.
